Service Awards
Service Award Pins are given for each five (5) years of service completed by the Fire Company Member. The service pin is a gold firematic cross, encrusted with a ruby stone for each 5 years of service, or a diamond for each twenty-five (25) years of service. These awards are presented to the members in each category by the Fire Company Line Officers.

Certificates
The Governor of the State of Maryland, Worcester County Commissioners and the City of Pocomoke award certificates (in five-year increments) to each company member completing Twenty (25) Years or more of service to the community through the Pocomoke City Volunteer Fire Company. Each eligible member is presented with a certificate citing the member for his contribtion to his fellow citizens. The respective officials sign each certificate.

Fireman of the Year

The FIREMAN OF THE YEAR AWARD was started in 1980. Nominations are made in writing from the fire company membership at large, and are not the product of a committee or group of officers. The Award is based on the nominee's involvement and accomplishments druing the past Company year. This includes exceptional or meritorious achievement, outstanding or superior performance worthy of public example or publicity, fire safety prevention or awareness of the Company. The Award is not necessarily awarded each year.
