CONTROL BURN MAY 24, 2007 - Pocomoke Vol. Fire Co. (Once Killmons Tydol Station)

This un-occupied gas station was in it’s hay day in the 50's and 60's. Located just across the Pocomoke River from Downtown Pocomoke City, it was operated by Kip Killmon from 1948 unitl 1955. Kip's brother, Jack Killmon joined the business in 1951 The station sold Tydol products. In 1955 Kip moved to the other end of town and operated Kip's Flying A station (Where Hensler's is located now).The current owner plans to demolish the remaining structure. Photos by: Rick Choquette.
