JUNE 11, 2007 - AT 1:20 A.M. POCOMOKE VOLUNTEER FIRE AND RESCUE, ALONG WITH POCOMOKE EMS RESPONDED TO AN ACCIDENT ON DIVIDING CREEK ROAD NEAR WORTH ROAD, IN SOMERSET COUNTY. THERE WERE 4 PASSENGERS TRAPPED IN THE VEHICLE. POCOMOKE EMS REQUESTED ADDITIONAL ALS UNITS. LOWER SOMERSET, PRINCESS ANNE IN ADDITION TO POCOMOKE RESPONDED. THE MARYLAND STATE POLICE INVESTIGATED THE ACCIDENT.

POCOMOKE FIRE CHIEF, DICKY GLADDING WAS THE OFFICIER IN CHARGE.

A single-vehicle accident early this morning along Dividing Creek Road in the area of Worth Road sent the driver and two passengers to Peninsula Regional Medical Center in serious condition.

The Princess Anne barrack of the Maryland State Police report that shortly after 1 a.m., driver Cathy Hurley's 1986 Mazda Protege left the road and struck a tree. Two of the three passengers were injured, as was the driver.

The accident is still under investigation.
