Hope Town, population about 300, is located on Elbow Cay, a small island in the Bahamas. Settled during the Revolutionary War by colonist from the Carolinas who were loyal to the British Crown. Residents are mostly blue eyed, tow headed and impossible in their dialect to distinguish them from residents of Tangier or Smith Island. http://www.hopetownfirerescue.com/Group%20Shots.htm Tom & Carol Elliott |
