10:17 a.m. - Chicken house fire on Wallace Taylor Rd.. Mutual aid with Somerset
County. Princess Anne responded with one engine and two ambulances, Marion
responded with one engine and one tanker, Pocomoke responded with two engines,
one tanker, one rescue, and one ambulance. Fairmount was alerted but was
turned around. The chicken house contained 24,000, one-week-old chicks,
all except a few died in the fire. PCVFC Capt. Eric Denston was the officer in charge. |
