June 1, 2011 4 p.m. The Pocomoke City Vol. Fire Co. responded to a fire alarm at the YMCA located on Worcester Highway (Rt. 113). Firefighters found a malfunctioning water heater that was used for the pool water. Smoke was coming from the pump room located on the rear of the building. There was no other damage....and there were no injuries.
