Joe Byrd #49 - Pocomoke City Fireman since 1949 has answered his last alarm.The funeral was held July 28, 2008 at Lynnhaven Baptist Church, officiated by Rev. Gregory L. Powell, St. Mary's Episcopal Church. Internment was in St. Mary's Episcopal Church Cementary.

On March 8, 2008 The Pocomoke City Vol. Fire Co. moved from our fire house on 5th Street to our new Fire House at 1410 Market St. We will continue to use the second floor of the 5th street fire house for Fire Company events and the Ladies Aux. will continue to serve dinners at that location until facilities are available at the new location.
The Pocomoke City Volunteer Fire Co. Ladies Auliliary is selling this Cat's Meow. CLICK for more info.

Visible work began on the new Pocomoke City Vol. Fire Co. Fire House on Feb. 19, 2007. We moved into the new facility on March 8, 2008. The dedication was April 27, 2008.
