Make safety part of Back to School Plans
Unintentional pedestrian injuries are a leading cause of injury-related death in the US for children ages 5-19. Safe Kids Worldwide has created an online toolkit that includes relevant safety messages, tips, and fact sheets that can be used throughout Maryland’s “Walktober” campaign to raise awareness of child pedestrian safety in your community. Remember, adult pedestrian behavior is the best way to teach children safety!
