Our Mission

The mission of the Pocomoke City Fire Company is to protect the lives and property of Pocomoke City and its surrounding area, through emergency response, education, and prevention.

Command 1

Command 1 – 2023 Ford F-250 4×4

Command 1 is a 2023 Ford F-250 4×4 crew cab pickup truck equipped with a cap and designated as a multi-purpose command vehicle. The apparatus was purchased using ARPA (American Rescue Plan Act) funds made available during the COVID-19 pandemic, reflecting strategic investment in emergency response capabilities.

The vehicle serves primarily as a command vehicle, providing the Chief of the Department with a reliable and versatile platform for incident command, scene size-up, and coordination at emergency incidents. Its four-wheel-drive capability also allows it to operate effectively during off-road responses, severe weather, and difficult access situations.

Command 1 is outfitted with a pull-out equipment tray, a cache of operational tools, and an EMS jump bag, enabling the unit to support medical assist calls, logistics, and incident support functions as needed.

Assigned to the Chief of the Department, Command 1 enhances leadership presence, operational flexibility, and all-hazards response capability across the department’s service area.
